Hello everyone!  I have some great news!  I have recently moved to the town of Arvada.  Not only am I still teaching guitar lessons out of my home studio I also have a space for group classes!  As of September I have started a Rock Band Class.  In this class students, playing a variety of instruments, have the opportunity to come together in a positive and focused environment to play music together, and it has been going very well.  As of this month I have started a beginner class as well.  I have been working very hard to put together a variety of new and very unique group class formats.  It is unlike any guitar lessons in Arvada you will find, or in the McHenry County area and probably beyond that.  These formats have been designed to create the ultimate guitar learning experience!  If you are interested in receiving the best rock guitar lessons in Arvada then search no more.  You have come to the right place!

Many new things have occured with!  I have some new student exclusives!  The first thing and most beneficial is that I now have a student forum up.  In the forum my students will be able to ask questions regarding any topic on music and guitar at anytime.  I will personally be active in the forum answering these questions, but this also gives my students the chance to share their own knowledge about the questions asked.  This directly helps them to better understand the information they already learned.  Students will also be able to have discussions with eachother about favorite bands, promote their own gigs & videos & recordings, network and find possible bandmates or jam buddies, and get exclusive access to my new recordings & videos & other cool stuff!  For instance, in the forum my students will have access to all my backing tracks totally FREE!  There are now 4 backing tracks available on the music page (under media), but only my students will have free access to all my backing tracks in a downloadable format.  The best thing about this forum is that it is totally FREE for all my current students!  You still pay the same amount for your lessons, but as usual I continue to give you more!  If you are not currently one of my students, but play guitar/bass and take lessons you should ask yourself this "am I getting all this from my instructor?"  If the answer is "no" then what are you waiting for?  Visit my "Contact" page and sign up now!

New stuff on the Music Page (under media)!  As I mentioned before in the previous paragraph there are 4 free sample backing tracks, but even better I have samples of the new OLD IRONSIDES album up!!!!  The album release date is set for April 30th (no later), and it may be even sooner than that!  It will be a digital release available to purchase on itunes, amazon, Rhapsody, and other music sites.  The actual hard copy (CD) release date is currently undetermined.  The band is currently searching for an artist to do the album artwork.  We will also be getting new t-shirts, stickers, and have a website up when the hard copies are released.  I also have a vision of a massively cool CD release party which all of who read this are invited of course.  Though the release date is undetermined it should not be long.  Once we find the artist things will move quickly, and we are working hard on this!  If you know of an artist you would like to suggest please e-mail their contact to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Thanks to Adam McCarter, my webmaster, I have been able to fill out with much more content.  I will be making updates regularly from now on.  I have a new article on the subject of melody on my article page; new photos on the photos page; a new student profile on my students page (more to come); and best of all new music samples from the upcoming Old Ironsides album!!!!  Everyone has been asking when the release date for the album will be, god knows it's already taken long enough, but we are about 90% done at the moment.  The exact release date is up in the air at the moment.

I have been working on my new solo album, and I will begin recording this week.  The material for this album is much simpler in comparison to Old Ironsides stuff, so the process will be quick.  I want to release it very soon!  Besides those to things I have a few other projects in the works, including an instructional book on lead guitar, online lessons, and a couple other things that are to fresh to announce.

Well that's about it for now, but first I want to quickly say thanks to all my students for their loyalty and dedication to themselves, their music, and to me!  Have a safe and happy holiday season!

Untill next time...

I finally have full recording capabilities!  This means I will finally be able to record all my solo material, and I will make it available for purchase soon!  I will also post samples and free downloads on my music page.

There is a new video posted on my media page.  It is a video of my former guitar teacher Tom Hess speaking about phrasing techniques.  It is a 9 minute video, and there are a lot of valuable bits of information, so make sure you check it out!!!!

After 3 issues and 4 articles I have decided to no longer be a part of Feedback magazine.  The latest December issue has my article on "Chord Transitioning".   Though I will no longer be writing articles for Feedback I will continue to write articles, and will be most likely posting them on various guitar websites as well as my own.

I want to thank all of my students for being so dedicated and focused, and wish you all happy holidays and new years.  If you are not my student yet, contact me and let's get something set for the new year!

Until next time...

I am officially a published author!  My first article in Feedback magazine has been printed in the August issue!  The next issue will be the magazine's 1 year anniversary, and I will have two articles printed in it!  One on Harmony and one on guitarist/inventor Les Paul!!!!  Check out Feedback magazine here:

Old Ironsides is nearing the completion of the album!  Just vocals and mixing left to do.  It's sounding so kick ass thanks to Gordon Persha at Q Productions!

I am teaching more than ever now.  I am currently employed at 4 different places!  Busy!

I have a new project that I wanna start soon!  It's a documentary...more details on that later!

Other than that I am going to be buying a new desktop computer so I can start using all my recording gear/software I bought!

Until next time...
